What is your experience with Heywood Wakefield?
We have restored countless Heywood Wakefield pieces and sets. There are companies that sell "wakefield finishes" but we actually use specific mixtures that we have perfected over the years. There are at least three different variations of the wheat and champagne finishes even coming from the factory, we can mix and apply any of those specifically to suit your piece.

Furniture Care Tips
-Do not allow furniture to sit in direct sun- the light and heat can damage the finish over time.
-Do not place furniture near fireplaces or heating vents. The heat can cause wood to dry, shrink and crack.
-Clear paste wax, when applied correctly can provide a protective layer against dust and moisture, as well as add sheen to furniture. Wax will eventually give way to water penetration so it is important to wipe up spills immediately and...
-Always use a coaster. And a place mat. And a writing pad. And felt pads under lamps, vases, etc. This will help protect furniture from moisture and scratches.
-When moving furniture, large pieces should always be lifted and not dragged to avoid damage. Tables should be carried by the apron or legs instead of the top which could pull loose from the base. Chairs should be carried by the seat as opposed to the back or arms. When transporting cabinets remove shelves and drawers and lay the piece on its back to avoid damage.
-Polishes and oils are not necessary and will eventually leave a sticky buildup of polish and dirt.
-Consult us for a free estimate before you attempt to refinish or repair. Oftentimes we see people with the best intentions do more harm than good because they were not sure what they were getting into. Leave it to a professional, we can help!
